Rhy Dyball is a photographer and artist based in Melbourne

My work is based around a cinematic aesthetic that allows the viewer to interpret my imagery as if they are looking into the window of someone’s mind. I am predominantly interested in the challenge of approaching the genres of horror and the uncanny in different manners by concentrating on representing the psychological aspects and experimenting in different methods, from stills to short films. I aim to find the most effective ways of bringing across the true potential that the genre has, in order to reveal and face inner demons, subsequently allowing the ability to improve and discover more about the human psyche.

For the past two years, this has been a goal of mine - to learn and investigate through multiple mediums. Exploring avenues that go beyond the genre, which can be linked to human behaviour; providing ideas and potential methods that will give the most impact to the viewer through the subtlety of symbolism and psychological evidence.
